Over the last five years, the percentage of JOOR’s total wholesale transaction volume attributed to independent retailers has increased significantly from 49% in 2020 to 62% in 2025. This exclusive data reveals independent boutiques are playing an increasingly significant role in driving growth across the global fashion sector, outpacing other multibrand formats, including department stores and e-commerce sites.
The JOOR 100: Top Global Retailers 2026 draws on data from JOOR’s expansive global network of over 700,000 buyers and 14,000 brands. Metrics for recognition in this curated list include: breadth of brands carried; growth in orders; volume of orders; and activity in establishing new brand connections.

In addition, the number of orders placed by this group of retailers grew 19% year-on-year, and the average number of brands purchased by these retailers increased 16% versus the previous 12 months as they seek to expand their product assortment.
