New York, July 21, 2021 - JOOR, the world’s leading digital wholesale platform for Luxury, Fashion and Home, has announced its largest ever volume of order activity for a single month. JOOR processed $2.1B in GMV (Gross Merchandise Volume) of wholesale transactions in June 2021, the equivalent of $5.2 billion at retail. Based on orders placed so far this month, JOOR is already on track to break the $2B ceiling again in July 2021.
Building off of what was a record breaking year in 2020, GMV for the first half of 2021 has continued to increase, reaching almost double the same period last year (+91%) and driving the total of JOOR’s lifetime GMV to over $52B.
The global fashion industry continues to accelerate its adoption of digital wholesale shopping, and JOOR has played a critical role in this transformation. In the first half of 2021, 250K new connections were made between brands and retailers on the platform, a 72% increase compared to the same period in 2020, and 75M products were sold, representing a 92% increase from the same months last year. Brands are relying on the platform to digitally showcase their collections, with image uploads having increased 120% compared to the same months in 2020. Moreover, retailers are turning to the platform as an important buying resource. The volume of orders placed is up 52% year over year, while brand profile visits by retailers have skyrocketed 262% year over year.
“We are thrilled to see the global retail recovery playing out amongst our vast worldwide network of brands and retailers on the platform,” said Kristin Savilia, CEO of JOOR. “The data speaks for itself: our industry is optimistic about the future and embracing digital wholesale as an ongoing imperative for business success.”
Luxury e-commerce pure players have rapidly adopted JOOR as their go-to wholesale partner. Amongst the platform’s Top 10 retailers in terms of 2021 YTD wholesale order volume are global e-commerce leaders Net-a-Porter, Shopbop, Mytheresa and Matchesfashion.
