France is renowned for its iconic brands and elegant retailers with a sophisticated curatorial eye, and so it’s no surprise that the local fashion market is going from strength to strength.
JOOR transaction data reveals:
The French market has seen continued growth since 2024. Brand sales have been steadily increasing, climbing 40% in Q1 2026 compared with Q1 last year, and the country’s growth is now outpacing other major markets, including the UK, the US, and Italy.
French retailers are experiencing a similar upswing, with purchases increasing by 54% in Q1 of 2026 versus the same time frame last year. But what’s driving this interest? And how can international brands and buyers tap into this lucrative market?
As fashion’s leading wholesale management ecosystem, JOOR has the unique ability to extract data from its extensive network of over 14,000 brands and 700,000 retail buyers who represent some of the industry’s biggest and most influential global players.
We’ve conducted an in-depth analysis of the French market and compiled our insights into this comprehensive guide to help you shape your wholesale strategy for the coming season.
