Launching for FW21, Showcase Japan features over 30 of the hottest brands from Japan
New York, April 26, 2021 - JOOR, the world’s leading digital wholesale platform, announces a partnership with the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) to present ‘Showcase Japan’, a virtual fashion event featuring over 30 of the most directional and contemporary Japanese fashion brands globally.
‘Showcase Japan’ is being hosted on the JOOR Passport platform, providing the participating brands and designers with exposure to a vast network of international buyers from around the world. Retail buyers will be able to shop across a broad range of categories, such as sustainability, diversity, Japanese craftsmanship, and more. Featured brands include Graphpaper, EVOLG, Vlas Blomme, ne Quittez pas and COOHEM. A complete ‘Showcase Japan’ brand list can be viewed below the release.
“Over the past year, virtual shows have gone from being relatively unheard of to the new normal,” explained Kristin Savilia, CEO of JOOR. “We’re thrilled to further expand our footprint in Japan through this partnership with JETRO, and look forward to connecting global buyers to the elite group of brands participating in ‘Showcase Japan’.”
Launched in 2020, JOOR Passport centralizes the global trade show and fashion week experience by creating a one-stop-shop for buyers: one place to log in, one website to visit, one app to download, and one comprehensive experience. JOOR Passport has become an indispensable online tool for buyers given current market conditions of restricted travel and is set to extend its reach with both a virtual and in person presence as physical events resume in the post-pandemic era.
In 2020, JOOR hosted 17 global events on JOOR Passport, attracting more than 155,000 visitors from 133 countries. More than 1,600 brands participated in events on JOOR Passport, with more than 500,000 items sold.
This AW21 season, alongside ‘Showcase Japan’, the JOOR Passport platform has exclusively powered 13 dynamic global fashion events including London Fashion Week, Berlin’s Premium + SEEK, Brazil Footwear, Liberty + LA Men’s Market, Showroom Canada, TOKYO FASHION AWARD, Cabana, iHKiB Istanbul Fashion, Ontimeshow Shanghai, and Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO.
In addition to virtual trade shows with partners, JOOR Passport is hosting JOOR Marketplace events, including JOOR Showcase and Destination Italy, providing access to a curated assortment of exclusive brands 365 days a year.
